Palladium Beach Resorts in Eastern Mexico & Caribbean

This fall and winter, little fans of the Emmy Award winning children’s show, Raggs, will have the chance to meet their favorite characters at Palladium’s Riviera Maya and Riviera Nayarit resorts as part of the “Play at Palladium with Raggs” program. Children can sing with them by the pool, share a dance in the lobby, interact with them through the supervised Kids Club, or pose for photos on the beach. The Grand Palladium resorts even feature live nightly rock n’roll shows with this rockin’ band of furry friends. Palladium resorts are all-inclusive with a wide range of dedicated age-specific activities –- from spas to water-sports to discos –- ensuring everyone in the family can take part in the vacation of a lifetime.

Of great interest to families traveling with anyone’s food allergies, Palladium has made a commitment to helping guests with dietary restrictions — a real boon to parents of kids with allergies. Given that all 14 all-inclusive resorts have adopted the new policy, we’ve heard that the chefs and kitchen crew have been trained to prepare meals for the gluten-averse and guests with Type 2 diabetes, and alert everyone to dishes that contain nuts; fruits and vegetables; seafood; egg; dairy and lactose, fish, and MSG. Guests with allergies wear a color-coded wrist band, and that corresponds to dishes on the buffet line that are healthy for them to eat. Additionally, these guests are given a bilingual medical card explaining their particular dietary need.

For savings which vary by each of the resorts, it’s best to check their website. For autumn packages, they are showing 30% off their Puerto Vallarta hotel and 20% off at the Riviera Maya resort outside Cancun. Offers booked online at their site include 15% off all spa treatments, a welcome gift bottle of tequila, late checkout and a fruit basket in the room.   To take up these offers, visit the Palladium Resorts website or call 800/961-7661.

Iberostar All-Inclusive Resorts on East & West Coasts

For another beach-side destination, try the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Resort complex) on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, south of Cancun. The complex comprises several 5-star all-inclusive resorts –- the Paraiso del Mar, Paraiso Beach, Paraiso Lindo and Paraiso Maya resorts. Each has bright and airy rooms, their own large swimming pools, a splash park and a range of watersport options. Kids clubs cater to 4 to 12-year-olds and teens have their own club space, too, while parents can enjoy 24-hour room service, specialty restaurants, a full-service spa, an 18-hole Championship golf course and an on-site casino.

The Iberostar Cancun resort boasts seven swimming pools, a new wave pool and a lazy river that kids, parents and grandparents will enjoy. Over on the Pacific coast in the very posh Punta Mita complex along the Riviera Nayarit, there’s a brand new Iberostar Playa Mita that combines the best of all these resorts. Keep in mind that several hotels have junior suites and family suite configurations as well.

Through September 20, 2014, the Iberostar resort chain is offering 60% off at several properties, if you book through the Iberostar resorts website or call 305/774-9225.
