The Civil War was a time of great destruction and many lives were lost. Thousands upon thousands gave their lives to their particular causes and in the end gave their due to the war between the states. So what does this have to do with a 14- year old kid from Texas? Well, here's the thing and this is at the readers discretion; since so many soilders die there are known stories of that soilder still remaining in spirit form (ghost) and haunting a particualr battlegroud-I know this is getting weirder by the second. Since this contest requires visual aid I thought I might as well tell the story of the "Night the Ghost Was Caught." My faimly had travled to the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania for a few days and we went into a expensive restraunt/ tavern called Dob's House, that ended up being one heck of a food/ attraction place. Everything was built as if it were the late 19th century and we actually felt old if you could believe that. We were taking snap shots when suddenly my father caught something on the edge of the camera and took a snap. He stared at it for a good time when he finally showed the picture that I will come to remember for a long time. There was a shadow or a swirl on the curtain that was shaped like a head (in my opinion it looks like a head). We also noticed that there were some sort of nose in eyes in a glass cup at the empty table and were trying to make sense of things. We then proceded to call over our server who then went on to expalin of a ghost that was in the tavern. We were just absolutley shocked but you know what that was the fun of it not making sense of the entire thing. So we thus dubbed it the "Night the Ghost Was Caught," and it would be etched in mt memory for years to come. Plus I could freak people out with the picture because like my family they could not make sense of it.
