Sesame Place 2009 - My Family Travels

Third year in a row, we packed up the kids and headed out to Sesame Place, only 1hr ½ from NYC. As always the traffic moved smoothly and we got there as scheduled.

Although we love all the rides in the park wet and dry (Sky Splash, Elmo World, Vapor Trail, Nets ‘n’ climbs, Slimey`s Chutes, etc) which are all age appropriate for every child… we were on a mission this year to see their newest attraction — “The Count Splash Castle” — a multi-level interactive water attraction.

Even though there are over 90 play elements as per their brochure, we spent most of the time on the 4 huge water slides, with the highlight being its 1,000-gallon, eight-foot tipping bucket. (Gigantic unbelievable water fall.)

In addition, once you enter you can stay as long as you want; no time limits. We literally spent about ¼ (approx. 2hrs) of our 8hr day in this attraction.

We did manage to go on almost all the rides including seeing the parade, however unlike the past two years where our favorite was “Big Bird’s Rambling River,” this year we had a new one.

“The Count Splash Castle” has clearly outnumbered every other attraction for us… Ah, ha, ha, ha,,,,,
