Family Cruising in Turkey and the Greek Islands - My Family Travels
3 (5)

I have just returned from a two week cruise in the south of Turkey, spending time on board a gulet rented out to me from TurkYacht boating company. It was an amazing opportunity for me and my family to sail around the coast of Turkey, and to the Greek islands. The BlueCruise offered a wonderful experience on board the GetAway gulet, soaking up thesun, tasting freshly caught fish and taking time out to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The Blue Cruise takes you to the Aegean, South Of Turkey and to the amazing Greek island coasts. We stopped off at Kos, Santorini, Rhodes and Nisyros. The best part about it, is that each island is different and offers something new.

Explore the island of Santorini, based primarily on volcanic eruptions. This island is rich is natural beauty. Kos and Rhodes offer a lot of history and architecture if you’re into that sort of thing. And Nisyros is perfect if you want to relax in a quiet environment and escape the hustle and bustle of tourism. The beaches on the islands are so clean, and the water is pure. The gulets make several stops so you will have the chance to swim and try out some water sports. Our gulet was fully equipped with a jet ski, snorkel and diving gear. We selected the family active holiday option, meaning the kids were entertained and we were able to enjoy the culture and relaxing atmosphere. TheBlue Cruise is mostly done with wooden gullets  between 18-40meters.

Generally 4 to 8 cabin boats are used for the blue cruise.Every cabin has own shower and toilets. It is possible to rent yachts for all quality and standards. I would highly recommend this sailing holiday! The destinations are incredible, and not a moment on board the boats was wasted. The staff are also friendly and willing to help in anything. I’ll definitely be going again next year! Check out my pictures and the website!
