On July 5th I had the pleasure of waking up at 3:00am to get to a 5:15am flight. And since it was the 4th of July the night before you can imagine how well that went. When me, my mom, and my dad got to the airport my mom checked all my papers and triple checked to make sure I had everything, since i flew alone. Once I landed I had no trouble finding the way to my Grandma, whom by the way, ran to me and almost knocked me over. My whole two weeks there were like home away from home. Except more shopping and no chores. We had so much fun down there. With my grandma, great grandma, aunt, cousins, and the whole condominium staff. We all would go to the pool and go to the museums. The Art one was my absolute favorite. I love to walk by and see all the different styles. We also went to the Holocaust Museum too, it was really sad and heartbreaking to see all the people who lost their lives and to just see what they went through.

In Michigan my mom doesn't really let me drive since she says I'm not good at it. But in Texas I was allowed to drive almost everywhere. I literally drove 90% of the time. All the way to Galveston and back, to the store, The Village. It was like mini adventures inside my already great trip. But along the Gulf of Mexico me and my grandma went swimming on the beach, I dont think I've been anywhere so beautiful in all my life. The clean beaches, the aqua water, the beautiful people. It was almost out of a magazine. Oh my God, and the horses were amazing, It was my favorite part of the whole entire trip. The feeling of the wind on my face when we ran was undescribeable. Gosh and she was a beautiful animal. She was so tall and graceful. And when we all went on the beach with them she was even more so. I felt that I belonged there. For as long as I live I will never forget that feeling.

I miss Texas and my family there. I miss the sun, the shops, the pool, and most of all I miss the freedom. The feeling that no one and nothing can stop me from what I really want to do in life. Of course I love my imediate family, but it was nice to get away. I'll miss the sun and I hope to get back soon.
