Isla del encanto - My Family Travels

This year, I was able to go to Puerto Rico. Although the plane ride was quite long, about 6 hours, it was well worth the wait.

We had visited oceans like Crash Boat and Isabella. The ocean was blue and clear. You could see through the water and see your feet and the sand. The weather and ocean were warm and it had a cool ocean breeze. There were many people there and although it was difficult to find a spot, we made the most of it and had fun. we had stayed there until the sun went down, which was around 7, but the view of the sun on the ocean and the waves that were coming in, it was a beautiful site to see.

During our stay there, we went to a hotel called Rincon beach resort. Right when you walk into the lobby, you see a view of the garden, the swimming pool, and the ocean. We rented a room for the day and had cost us around $100 to $150. The room had a bathroom right when you walked in, a kitchen next to that, a dining room, and then the living room; which consisted of a pull out couch and television, it also had a tiny table with two chairs and it gave you a view of the swimming pool and ocean.

The day we went, the oceans water had been a little cold but it was relaxing and you could see parts of the island. There weren’t as many people as there were at the oceans, so it was great to have some peace and quiet. You could go to the front desk and request a ball, and you were able to play volleyball amongst yourselves. They even had a cabana in the middle of the swimming pool where adults were able to order drinks. The hot tub was relaxing and it had come off of the pool. The hot water and steam felt very good after being in the water. Even though the weather was a little bad, it was still fun and relaxing.

We had also gone to El Yunque Rainforest. At the beginning, you can go along with a tour group that can show you how to get through the forest or you could go to the directory person, where you are able to get a map of the forest and all the attractions and points where you can go.

I suggest you wear a pair of shoes and bring a lot of water because the walks are long and steep. We had gone to the tower that was at the very top and it took about 45 minutes but had felt like an hour or two. Before we had started, my father said, “Seven of us will go up and 5 of us come down. The two who don’t make it, we can’t talk to or about.” Naturally none of us wanted to be those two but after 10 minutes of walking, two had left and gone down. After the walk up and down, we had visited the waterfall there, which was beautiful but was a bit crowded. The walk wasn’t too bad to the waterfall and tower because there was a breeze to accompany us and to cool us down, which was much needed for me.

Although we didn’t have a long time to stay there, it was still a lot of fun and I would enjoy going back and recommend people to go to Puerto Rico.
