Nogales is the Place to Go - My Family Travels
DSC_0373

I live in a town, where everybody knows everybody and you can walk probably everywhere, you know, if you had the energy. Santa Cruz County, also known as Nogales, AZ, is an urban place that’s small, yet comforting. Tourists should visit this place because it’s a place full of warmth plus it was also filmed by a big movie called The Hangover Part III. The first thing tourists should see is the border line and see that although Nogales is borderline to Nogales, Sonora , being Arizona's largest international border town, it still shows that Nogalians have that Mexican-American cultures that bond us together. Nogales has plenty of historical places such as the walnut tree that once grew abundantly in the mountain that pass between the cities of Nogales, Arizona, and Nogales, Sonora, also the Santa Cruz County Historical Courthouse on Morley Street. An interesting fact about this building is that the statue of Lady Justice on top of the building is  Nogales’s version of Lady Justice without a blindfold. People that come visit should first meet the mayor, to get an idea of who runs this small town, and it is the way it is. On the other hand they should also get to know Nogales’s own community for that same reason but to also get a view from others on what and how Nogales is to them. Tourists have a lot to do in this small town that is home to many people, things such as going to enjoy movies with a big bag of popcorn and a large drink at the local Oasis Cinema located near the Wal-Mart supercenter. Maybe someone in your family is patriotic or maybe someone isn’t  but if you are interested in all that is military the National Guard is the best place to see plus you can also visit the VFW best known for its very own veterans. Parks like the City Hall Park or Camp Little Park are great ways to keep children entertained for hours and all located near gasoline stations or markets to keep people and children hydrated and full of energy to keep going for the rest of the day. Best of all, if someone is in need of a stroll around town, they can always enjoy a finito with their choice of flavor, here in Nogales! Here in Nogales, there’s no need of listening to music on your IPod, or texting and tweeting about this or that, Nogales is that type of place where you can go outside and enjoy reading a good book, or just enjoy nature and listen to birds sing their hearts out. The best part is that the days are never the same, everyday there is going to be something new, whether it is a new yard sale or a new type of weather heading towards us. The weather here is always best to enjoy; if it’s too hot to sit outside and take pictures of nature itself, there are three local pools around just waiting for families to jump in and enjoy the water. Even if it isn’t warm and sunny, the winter time is always the best time to take family out to eat or even better, enjoy warm homemade hot chocolate in the comfort of your own house. Everybody in Nogales is friendly and friendly to the point where you can walk up to a person and ask them a question without worrying if you will get yelled at or ignored. Come and visit Nogales for your next family vacation, you will feel right at home, you won’t regret it!
