I have been on so many adventurous trips in my community.  One of the advantages of living near Washington, DC is that there are so many places to visit and so much to experience. First, I would recommend that you visit Fort McHenry. I have been there twice and it still fascinates me. It is huge so I suggest you sign up for a tour at the information desk and bring a camera because there will be a lot of interesting stuff to photograph and the view of the Chesapeake Bay from the fort is beautiful .

If you love sharks, octopi, dolphins and jellyfish, then you must visit the National Aquarium. There is so much to see. It has giant tanks where all kinds of sea creatures are kept and the cool part is you can walk right over/through these tanks. There is a giant real life forest…..on the roof. Also, don’t forget to sign up for a dolphin show (p.s. you might get wet!). The last time I went there with my friends, we spent the entire day navigating the gigantic building and we still didn’t get to see everything. My favorite place is the dark room where all of the most exotic animals are kept, including but not limited to: frogs, turtles and the baby octopus.

Another place you must visit is Washington, DC. My favorite place in DC is the International Spy Museum because not only do you learn about spies and their gadgets, but you are taught tricks you would need as a spy, like picking a lock, decoding a message, setting up listening devices and much more. Another place to visit is the White House, because ….. it is the home of the most powerful man in the world. Finally, the Smithsonian museums are amazing. There are many cool things to see. My favorite museum is the Air and Space Museum because it is full of real live models of planes and space shuttles that are open for anyone to walk into.

Don’t take my word for it; come to my community and see for yourself that it is full of interesting places. I’m glad I live in a place where an adventure is just a short car ride away.
