Cruising with the Family

My parents received a nice tax return this year, and with the threat of me going off to college in a year and we can no longer 'bond' together as one (something we haven't done since we went to the zoo back in 1993) they decided that all five of us would take a week long cruise in the Western Caribbean.

Fabulous Fall Getaways

Escaping from everyday life during fall is one of travel's greatest secret pleasures: the perfect climate, right ratio of visitors to locals, meals that celebrate the harvest bounty, and off season prices that make it truly affordable. With frequent school and work breaks for the Jewish holidays, Columbus Day, Halloween, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving, there's plenty of opportunity to take advantage of resort, tour and airfare discounts.

We’ll use Puerto Vallarta, a beach town we know well, as an example of all the reasons to travel this fall with fewer vacation dollars in your wallet.

My first reason to return to a Mexican beach town like Puerto Vallarta is that this town has charm and culture to spare – at no added cost.
