The Czech Republic’s central location in Europe makes it an ideal base for traveling to other countries in the region, such as Austria, Germany, Poland, and Slovakia. I haven’t lived in the Czech Republic, but I traveled there for a few days. English is widely spoken in the Czech Republic, and the country ranks 23rd in the world in English proficiency. This means that English-speaking kids will find it easy to get along in the Czech Republic, but the Czech language is a bit difficult to learn.

Hey Spain is great with kids!

Check out SAN SEBASTIAN for example. Came across this video and I feel it really gives you the feeling you want to go:

    What do you think?

    Hi,

We are a family of 4 from Australia looking to travel to Europe. For the sake of one of my school going kids, we are considering relocating to one of the European countries for about an year -and set up our base so that we can travel around a bit more easily. Since we are over 35, the working holiday visa wouldn’t be applicable to us. We will probably have to look at a work visa to be able to work and travel at the same time.

I am looking for any suggestions or tips on these lines. Which countries would be suitable for families? what are the options for schools for English speaking children? Any there any families who have done something similar? Would highly appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks very much.
