My Vacation Experience
Two years ago I had traveled down to Florida to Disney World for a week trip, it was not only my very first trip to Disney but it was also my first time traveling on an airplane. Going to Disney was not just an average vacation trip for me either. My high school marching band was chosen to participate in the parade down Main Street Boulevard. I had the time of my life and it had given me memories I will never forget.
Every four years, my high school marching band enters a competition to win a chance to participate in their big parade. My sophomore year was my chance to take this opportunity. We had received a letter informing us we had won. That was the beginning of a trip to remember
Before going to Disney I had never had a chance to ride in an airplane. I was nervous and excited to have an opportunity like this. It was an experience for me to go through baggage check and waiting for the plane to arrive. I have some good memories just from the airport and I knew this was going to be a great trip and I couldn’t wait to get there.
When we had arrived at Disney we took time to get settled into the hotel yet I was anxious to see what the parks had to offer. I was not only excited to hang out with my friends at one of the best places on Earth, yet this was the year my brother was working at one of the restaurants in a hotel. So therefore I had a week to hang out with my brother that I haven’t seen in months.
Although it was an awesome week, it wasn’t all fun and games. Our performance day had arrived and we were nervous about playing and marching in front of so many people. We prepared and were set to show off our skills to the world. Before we knew it we were in the middle of the street playing with the pride we are known for, and to our surprise we had a group of fellow high school members show up just to hear us play. It was the greatest feeling in the world.
With the hard part of the trip over within the middle of the week, we had a chance to enjoy the rest of our time visiting the rest of the parks at Disney. I was able to hang out with my brother for a few hours a couple times while I was down there, and I had a chance to watch an amazing show and be able to share it with him. I was also able to hang out with several of my friends even standing in the long lines for the rides was a great time.
Like every other good vacation it had to come to an end, it has been two years since that trip and my friends and I are still having great memories. I have been given one of the best moments in my life during that trip. It’s something I will be talking about for several years to come. With family and friends and an amazing experience to share together, I couldn’t have asked for a better vacation.
