One of my most interesting trips was that to Florida. I was going all by myself to visit my dad and I was about 11 years of age. I am not used to flying much, but I was excited and scared to go. It was a really big step for me to go all alone without any family having strange people tell me what to do and where to go. My mom was so scared to let me go because she wouldn’t be there to take care of me. I was so ready to go because I knew Disney World was on the other end of that plane trip when I finally met up with my dad. But that is if I could make my flights on time. One of the people assisting me around when I reached my half way point took me to a daycare thing and left me there. About five minutes later someone realizes that my plane is right about to leave! I couldn’t believe it I almost missed my flight to my dad and Disney World! They tried to rush me to my gate, but ended up going to the wrong one. They eventually got a hold of someone on the flight and were able to delay the plane for a couple minutes. We finally made it to the plane and all I could think about was how my mom would have reacted if I had been stuck in a Dallas airport waiting for another flight all by myself. But I was okay thankfully. As I boarded the plane I was so scared because I was the last one on and all those people had been waiting for me to get on so that they could go on with their lives. As I was on the plane I was worried I would be bored the whole time, but I was able to watch a movie and eat some yummy snacks. Going to the bathroom in that plane was a whole other story. I was so scared to get up and go all alone that I held it for a few hours and it hurt really bad! I did not know what to do, but sit there and wait till I got off. I was so excited when they finally put on the fasten your seat belt sign because I thought we were almost there. But to my surprise it was only because of turbulence. It being one of my few plane rides I got scared. The turbulence was pretty rough and it caused me to have major butterflies. Finally, though I reached my destination no longer to be bothering anyone with my lateness or worrying about going to the bathroom alone. Disney World was so close and I couldn’t wait to go!
