In March of the year 2010, my best friend and I went on a trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain for my birthday! I was turning fifteen years old and had the best time ever. This trip took place on March 20, 2010, although my birthday wasn’t till March 31. My mother drove us down to Six Flags, and she spent the day with us as well. We stayed at the park from 10:00a.m. To 11:00p.m. And made sure we got on every ride possible, from children rides to the most extreme. My best friend had never been to Six Flags, so I felt pretty special being the first person she has ever gone with. She was terrified of getting on the big extreme rides, but I talked her into getting on them after awhile of convincing.
We started off with the little rides and then worked our way up to bigger rides, like the Viper. She still was a little freaked out, and once she got on the ride she started crying. At first I thought it was funny, but then realized she was really scarred, so I comforted her and promised everything was going to be fine. The ride then started and the adrenaline was kicking in, I was so pumped, but my friend was scarred out of her mind. As we were climbing to the top, with every clink and clank she heard, her heart would drop further into her stomach. I knew that once we dropped, her tears would get blown out of her eyes and she would be having the time of her life. And what do you know, the drop came and we were laughing and screaming and having a blast.
After we got off the ride, she was so excited and felt like she was unstoppable, like she was on top of the world. She wanted to go on every single ride now, especially the big ones! So I wanted to test her, I convinced her to go on X2, which is one of the biggest rides in the park. This ride is very original because of the fact your seat spins 360 degrees. We waited in line for approximately 2 hours and once we got to the loading station, my friend Jessie freaked out again. We let people go in front of us so she could have more time to think. Once we were fastened and about to take off, she broke down, and had to get off the ride. I felt so bad, she was terrified. So I ended up riding alone.
The best ride we went on was called Terminator Salvation. This was the newest edition to the Six Flags theme park. Since we went on this ride toward the end of the day, there wasn’t really that much of a line and we were able to go on the ride numerous times in a row. We also made a few friends by doing this. We rode the ride all together six times in a row, we had a blast!
Earlier in the day, we took pictures with Flash and Aqua Man! This was pretty funny because as we were all posing, waiting to take a picture, they would randomly shout out a sequence of action phrases such as, “Head butt, upper cut, poke, ect.” we thought it was the funniest thing ever. And one time Flash said, “Poke, head butt” as Aqua man responded, “Good One”. My day at Six Flags was so much fun and I can’t wait to go back and make more memories!
