Virginia Beach Memories - My Family Travels

Virginia Beach Relaxation

In the year 2009, my family and I traveled to Virginia Beach in search for some relaxation and to find peace from the home life. The travel was fast and simple using our GPS from Pittsburgh,Pa to Norfolk, Virginia. When we finally arrived to our destination, The Beach Quarters, we had a perfect view of the ocean. The hotel was complete with an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, a bar, and every room had an ocean view. Looking to the street side of the hotel were tourists from all over shopping and eating at local pizza places and beach shops. Across from the hotel was a store for all of our needs. 2 miles from our hotel was an amusement park called Fun Spot Amusement Park, 5 miles from Ocean Breeze Park and Virginia Marine Science, and 35 miles from Busch Gardens. During our vacation we spent each day doing something different. The beach was not crowded which was the best part. While most beaches are crowded with running people and loud music, Virginia Beach was calming with the sound of the waves and children laughing. When we weren't walking along the beach we were exploring new adventures in the ocean with an Adventure-Cruise that costed $13.00 for adults and $8.00 for children where we could see lighthouses, get facts on the surrounding areas, and search for dolphins. This beach is great for a comforting family vacation. Even though the town is small it serves a pleasurable spot for a relaxing destination. Small town diners can really turn into a great breakfast. A small town diner called Village Inn created a comforting breakfast full of a wide variety of breakfast & lunch meals. The weather started off bad with a storm but shortly ended with a beautiful sunset and started with a beautiful sun rise with a warm day, not too hot, and not too cold. This weekend at Norfolk gave our family the opportunity to explore the beach as a family for the first time and to create memories.
