Houston has many things to offer for interested tourists. The world renowned Houston livestock show and rodeo makes an appearance every year in the spring at the magnificent Reliant Stadium. The H is also a hot touring destination for many of the world’s most famous musical artists. Houston is home to award winning fine arts programs such as the Houston Symphony and the Houston Ballet. H-Town hosts numerous major sports teams; the Houston Rockets of the NBA, who won multiple titles in the mid-90’s; the Houston Astros of the MLB; and the annually contending Houston Texans of the NFL. The college opportunities which Houston houses is also worth noting as the University of Houston is a popular destination for post-secondary schooling along with Rice University, one of the most prestigious colleges in the country. Numerous museums are available to be explored, including the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences, one of the most famous museums in the United States. A tourist looking for an adventure can get everything he/she is looking for in the great city of Houston. With so much to offer, it is a travesty to leave Houston off a list of tourist locations.
The diversity of the people of Houston is unrivaled. Everyone can find a home, where no race or ethnicity is alone or unwelcomed. Various places of religious background also call Houston home, such as the Co-Cathedral of the Catholic Church, churches which are only built once every 500 years globally. The friendly atmosphere of the city welcomes all. The fickle weather can put a damper on plans but can also create a spontaneous environment. Overall, the city of Houston can be an ideal location for any tourist looking for vacation within the borders of Texas and the United States, as well as a possible home to any type of individual.
