Idaho: The State of Beauty - My Family Travels

There is a place of beauty, nature, and adventure that is unknown to most. A place where you can climb mountains, float rivers, hike various trails, and become in tune with nature. This glorious place is called Idaho, a Northwest state with a small amount of citizens and a large amount of wonder. After living here for almost eighteen years, I have become more and more appreciative of everything Idaho has to offer.

You can get your heart pumping on the rapids of Idaho's many rivers, as you take in the beautiful scenery. Afterwards, you can pull on your hiking boots and explore the Rocky Mountains, filled with ghost towns, thousands of trails, and hidden streams. Still looking for some excitement? Well, saddle up! Horseback riders are a common sight here in farm country. Tag along and view acres upon acres of flat, beautiful fields. There is something for the adventurer in all of us.

Are you looking for something more peaceful and relaxing? Don't worry, we've got some things for the calmer side of life. Grab a float tube and some sunscreen as you prepare for a simple ride down the Boise River that goes through the capital of Idaho. While you are in the beautiful capital, be sure to visit all of our animal friends at Zoo Boise. There is also plenty of shopping in the Boise area including the Boise Towne Square Mall, blocks of unique shops downtown, and if you are in luck, the weekly farmer's market.

Now, if all of these great activities weren't enough, we have more! Get a workout buddy and go take a hike to the top of Table Rock, where the final view is well worth the sweat (trust me!). Reward yourself with a giant slice of pizza from the infamous Messengers in Downtown Nampa. Don't forget to get dessert at the unique-to-Idaho coffee shop, Flying M Coffee Garage. Both of those delicious downtown eateries are perfect for date night where you will find live music and a friendly atmosphere.

Idaho has the perfect amount of city and nature. I know that no matter where you come from or what kind of person you are, you will fall in love the minute you lay eyes on Idaho. It's a place where you will explore, relax, and want to stay for awhile. So what are you waiting for? Your trip to hidden paradise is just a few steps away. We will see you soon!
