On September 2, 2010, the Grammy Award-winning Zac Brown Band will be taking the long way to Grand Cayman aboard the Carnival Inspiration. The country music ensemble will depart from Tampa, Florida for a four-day “Sailing Southern Ground” cruise to entertain lucky fans on board.
The Country Music Award-nominated group has had previous experience cruising – both on Highway 20 and offshore – sailing on The Rock Boat multiple times, as well as boarding with Simple Man and Cayamo cruises in the past few years.
Also on the ship with the Zac Brown Band are special guests Michael Franti and Spearhead, Blackberry Smoke, Nic Cowan, Gaelic Storm, Sonia Leigh, Levi Lowrey and Oakhurst. When the bands stop playing, the fun certainly doesn’t, given the activities aboard the cruise line. Enjoy the ship’s casino, send the kids off to party in the kids clubs, or eat, drink and be merry in and around the ship’s bars, lounges and pools.
The Atlanta-based travel company, Sixthman, which has continuously provided exclusive cruise experiences throughout the past nine years, will coordinate the event. Some past cruise experiences with Sixthman have included stars like John Mayer, Barenaked Ladies and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Sailing Southern Ground cabins are on sale now and prices start at $699 per person. Needless to say, spaces are going fast, so book far, far in advance. (Now.) You can reserve your spot by visiting www.sailingsouthernground.com.
