If you’ve got the funds and your family feels like doing some star-gazing while you hang out on the sand, here are some of the A-Listers’ favorite getaways this summer.
The Maldives: This small chain of islands on the Indian Ocean is a favorite getaway for the A-list couple of Beyonce and Jay-Z. The beaches here (pictured above) are set around a series of coral reefs and warm water lagoons. As you’re snorkeling or scuba diving, you may want to surface for air from time to time to see if you can also spot Kate Moss, Eva Longoria, Jude Law, or Penelope Cruz—all have vacationed in the Maldives.
South Beach, Miami: One of the world’s hottest beach spots lies at the southern-most tip of Florida. If you want to hit the beach with the A-Listers, check out Ocean Drive, which runs parallel to the Atlantic and is a favorite spot for celebrities to park their yachts and play on the sand. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are among the celebrities who’ve recently been spotted here.

Bondi Beach, Sydney: The land down under is also the land of celebrities. Bondi Beach offers surfing, snorkeling or simply tanning on the sand, and is also surrounded by opportunities for tons of activities, like sailing and hiking by the Coogee Cliffs. In the midst of all this you may be able to spot some celebs relaxing at Bondi—Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, and native Australian Hugh Jackman have all been spotted here.

Lake Como, Italy: One of the most beautiful lakes in Italy has traditionally been home to the rich and the famous: thus the many gorgeous villas that grace its shores. Madonna, George Clooney, and Sylvester Stallone have all owned or own houses here. In addition to the lakeside beaches, the scenic lake area is surrounded by mountains, boasts horseback riding, paragliding, and all kinds of boating.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico: At the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Cabo is close enough to Los Angeles to attract a whole array of star celebs. You can indulge in parasailing, snorkeling, and other water activities, or simply relax by the Sea of Cortez and keep your eyes peeled for stars such as Jessica Alba, Sandra Bullock, and Dustin Hoffman.
