On August 7th, he tweeted, “This just in from Israel… It’s hot.” And that was just the beginning of the journey made by Ashton Kutcher, husband of Demi Moore and star of television series such as Punk’d and That 70s Show, to the Holy Land.
An active follower of Kabblah and Jewish mysticism, Kutcher made his visit to Isreal as a guest of Rabbi Shraga Berg, the founder of the Kabbalah Center in Tel Aviv. The actor was also in town for the Rabbi’s birthday.
Kutcher, 32, stayed at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem. He was accompanied by Scout, 19, daughter of his wife and her ex-husband Bruce Willis.
Feeling spiritually-inspired during his trip, Kutcher tweeted, “The morning light of mercy is washing over The Wholly Land. I only hope that I can deliver on it’s promise. Wholly=1=love.”
Other highlights of Kutcher’s visit included attending an Israeli national basketball game. About the event, he tweeted to his large following of over 5 million fellow twitters, “Watching the Israel national team beat up Latvia in bball. Kind of surreal.”
Kutcher also made visits to several sites in Jerusalem, including the Tower of David, the Western Wall and Abu Ghosh.
He arrived back in the US on Sunday, August 15th. On his return home he tweeted, “There should be a word that defines that feeling of coming home after being gone for a while. It’s so nice.”
