I love Montmartre!! From the moment I watched the cute Audrey Tautou 10 years ago in the famous artwork, Amelie Poulin (the story involves 90 percent in Montmartre area), I know that one day I would come here.

And there I was, I bought a concert ticket at Elysees Montmartre, a famous concert venue in Paris, I searched a hotel near the area, which should be near the the concert hall, but also, the place that I falled in love it, Montmartre.

That’s when I found Hotel Tour d’Auvergne, just a few steps from Montmartre, Gare Du Nord and Pigalle. What makes this hotel so unique, is that every room is designed differently from one to another. And due to its location which is near the concert venues (they called this area the SOPI which stands for South of Pigalle), this hotel has welcomed lot of famous artists (well at least famous in France). To name a few, Quidam, Gonzales, Sandrine (well she’s famous in Australia) ….

And the location is just perfect!! Just like I said, few steps from Montmartre and Gare du Nord, but we also walked from here to shop in Opera . For those who don’t know what Opera is famous for, apart from the screaming-man-singing-a-song, this is the area where lies the department store in paris such as Gallerie Lafayette and Printemps.

A perfect place for family I guess!!

I refer to the hotel’s blog, hotel montmartre, before coming here. In this blog, once again, I got the link from the Luxury travel Magazine, they shares the best addresses of restaurants, pubs and place to go around the area.; A well-design blog, just like the room!
