Montparnasse is the home to one of the largest train station in Paris. It is here our friends from Spain arrive after a long ride on the train. Apart from the “train area attraction”, it is here also you can find the largest building in France and do not surprise to find out that it is even larger than Tour d’Eiffel 🙂 It is called the Montparnasse tower, which is just located outside the train station.
A part from the towerr, around the area you can find the largest public park in the 6th arrondissement (the chic arrondissement in paris), Jardin du Luxembourg. You will be surprise to find a calm, beautiful, and grandiose garden in the heart of Paris. It is without a doubt a place for you to stop by after a chaotic day visiting the city.
If these two unusual attractions attract you (looking something from the typical eiffel tower thingy), Hotel Apostrophe, a hotel montparnasse that has just opened its door last december could complete your stay here. It is one of the Luxury hotel Paris, and appears several time on the Luxury travel magazine, this hotel uses a unique theme for the decoration and design of the hotel, art and litterature. Traces of art can be found everywhere in the hotel. Even each of the room has its own particuliar design. And if you stay in a balneo room (my favourite room in the hotel), you can enjoy a private “Jacuzzi bath” with chromotherapy, and you can even choose theme from ephemeral traces, alphabet, press, printing, Paris-Paradise (my absolute choice)
So, if you have a short stay in the left bank of Paris, don’t think that you can’t have a wonderful stay. There are as much things to do there as on the right bank of Paris, and thereis a wonderful luxurious place to stay as well!
