If your gonna be in the San Francisco area this summer the Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market is a MUST on your to do list. The Wednesday Night Market is an outdoor festival gathering of different vendors such as the one in the picture (smoke turkey  BBQ legs). At the Market there are vendors of different foods and fruits from different cultures. There is such a variety of venders ranging from hair and beauty to the local dog kennels and SPCA. The festival is only on during the summer months starting end of May and running through September 1 every Wednesday night. The festival is located in downtown Santa Rosa on 637 first st.

If your on budget, like i was that summer, the Wednesday Night Market is the place to go. Not only is the festival FREE but the plane tickets thru JET BLUE are super cheap. I flew from the Long Beach Airport to the San Francisco Airport for $40.00 one way. Jet Blue is really great for sticking to your budget because their prices usually range in the 40-60s on a one way. They also have a True Blue Point system that helps you earn and use your points whenever you fly with them.  I had no need to stay at a hotel for i was visiting family in the area, however i did notice that there are quite a few hotels in the downtown area.

Once your in the Bay Area you might as well visit San Francisco a beautiful city. A great way to do it all for a great price is to use CityPASS.  CityPass is a booklet of vouchers for everything to do in San Francisco including transportation on trollies. For example the exploritorium, the scince museum, boat ride on the bay, art galliers and the aquarium at pier 39.

Seriously if you’ve never been to the bay area or want to just get away but are on a budget like most students are, you gotta check out Santa Rosa Wednesday Night Market and San Francisco with the CityPass. It was the most fun ive had in along time, what a BLAST!
