Generally, my dad, my sister and I spend holidays in New Knoxville, Ohio at my grandparents house. New Knoxville is a tiny little town situated in the middle of the cornfields in central Ohio. In the summer, the corn and alfalfa is beautiful, the air smells strongly of cut grass and cow manure, and our favorite things to do include running in the woods and laying out on the drive way. In the spring and fall, the woods and fields are so much fun to explore, because the summer weeds don’t make them impassable, and it isn’t quite so cold that you can’t enjoy being outside. But Christmastime is my favorite time of year in New Knoxville. It’s almost always snowy, cold, and bleak, but its so nice to see my family, play with all the little kids, and just hang out and play games by the fire.
