Just before the 2009-2010 school year finished my best freind went down to Mexico to get his permanent resident card but he answered one question wrong. So now he is stuck down there while his whole family is legal and lives in the United States, and he is only 17. So a week after school got out my family and i went down to visit him in Agua Prieta, Mexico which is right on the border so its not the safest or nicest town. When we crossed into Mexico the first thing we did was find a place to stay, but luckily my dad knew a guy there that had a place for us and it was a very nice little house. Once we got settled we tried to find my freind but we ended up getting lost and they had to come find us. when we finaly met up with them it was very fun to see my friend after about a month of him being down in mexico. We then followed them and met the family my friend was staying with and they were all very nice. They were so nice that they invited us to stay with them even though there were ten people already staying there. Their house was no bigger than a bedroom.  They also invited us to a little creek they were going to have a BBQ and swim at. When we got there we decided not to swim because the water did not look or smell very good. But they did bring very good food. They had the best chicken I have ever had. They had also brought a very good homemade cake. The next day we went to a water park which only had one pool and two waterslides but it was very fun to go down the slides. We then went and ate lunch, and for lunch we had more chicken because it was so good the night before. That night we had dinner at a very good resturant called Bonanza. The next morning we had to leave which was the sadest part because we couldnt take my friend with us. Once we got back to the border the border patrol guys had to scan our passports but when they got to my dad’s every thing changed. My dad was asked to step out of the truck and he was taken inside not allowed to look anywere but straight ahead. The other guards told my mom to pull the truck around to a wating area. About fifteen minutes later my dad came out and it turns out that a guy with his same name is on the FBI most wanted list. But it turned out to be a big mistake. Overall it was a very fun trip, a good experience, and sad to leave my friend down there. As of now my friend is still stuck in Mexico.
