This weekend, WrestleMania XXVII, WWE’s annual pop culture extravaganza, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation will host 30 kids with life-threatening medical conditions.
WWE has worked with the foundation for 27 years, but this is the 4th year in the row that they're granting wishes to attend WrestleMania weekend. Children and families from 18 U.S. states, Canada and Australia will attend the Atlanta, Georgia event.
In addition to the excitement of attending WrestleMania at the Georgia Dome on April 3, the wish kids will enjoy exclusive opportunities to meet WWE Superstars and Divas, along with other celebrities, at autograph sessions, a pizza party hosted by WWE Superstar and Make-A-Wish Wish Ambassador John Cena at the Georgia Aquarium, and a special luncheon.

At the April 2 event, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America President and CEO David Williams will honor Cena for granting his 200th wish in December 2010. Cena is one of only four celebrities, along with NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. and former WWE Superstar Hulk Hogan, to reach the milestone.
“The Make-A-Wish Foundation is so much better for knowing WWE Superstar John Cena,” Williams said. “He is genuinely connected to our mission, and the time John spends with a wish kid changes them both. They leave each other better than before – happier, more optimistic, filled with memories that inspire them during tough times.”
