Congratulations to actress Kate Hudson, star of "Bride Wars," "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days " and "Almost Famous." The 31-year-old star is pregnant with her second child, a fact that hasn't slowed her busy travel schedule.
Daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and Hudson Brothers rocker Bill Hudson, Ms. Hudson traveled extensively as child, especially after her mother married actor Kurt Russell. In addition to the traveling she's done for her own career, she's been spotted around the world with former friends actor Owen Wilson, baseball star Alex Rodriguez, and cycling star Lance Armstrong. She and current beau, Matt Bellamy of the band Muse, met at the Coachella Music Festival in 2010 and recently celebrated their first anniversary.
Last month she was caught by paparazzi in Brazil, vacationing with Bellamy, the father of her next child. The band was relaxing for a few days in the beach resort of Paratay, outside Rio de Janeiro, while on tour with U2 around South America.
The very fit mom (she's into yoga) did some kayaking and swimming with Bellamy and the other man in her life, son Ryder Russell Robinson, now 7, who was born to ex-husband Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes. This spring, Ms. Hudson and Ryder have been vacationing together while Muse performed in Argentina. In Buenos Aires, the threesome were seen dining out with Bono.
According to reports in The UK's Daily Mail, the quintessential mom "has rarely been seen without her large camera in hand as the trio explore the sights."
Although she's happy to record her own family travels, Ms. Hudson is very protective of her family's privacy. She has criticized paparazzi in the past for photographing Ryder and after one incident, declared, "It's aggressive, it's bizarre and it makes him self-conscious. And kids should always be kids, they should never be self-conscious of what they're doing. That should be illegal." Ms. Hudson is known as one of the few actors who who ever successfully sued The National Enquirer for libel.
At the end of January, Kate was caught on a multi-generational trip to Europe. Both Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell joined her and Ryder to sightsee in Paris and London, where she did some publicity for her film, "A Little Bit Of Heaven." Soon after, she and Matt took Ryder for his spring break to the Four Season Resort in beautiful Punta Mita, Mexico.
While some have criticized her for taking her third international trip since announcing her pregnancy, there's no reason we know why Ms Hudson should not travel and enjoy her "babymoon" before the hard work of mothering an infant begins again.
