For families living in or visiting Los Angeles or Hollywood, be sure to check out the new Michael Jackson exhibit at the local Madame Tussauds Hollywood. The "Michael Jackson Experience" is a unique multi-media attraction that just opened at the famous wax figure museum.
The exhibition will be the first of its kind, featuring three Michael Jackson figures, from various stages of his career (The Jackson 5 Years, The Invincible Era and the “This Is It” Michael), that collectively represent over $1 million in wax sculpting alone.
In an unprecedented move, direct from Europe, Madame Tussauds Hollywood will feature the traveling extravaganza all summer long, since the exhibition dates will coincide with anniversaries for both his passing (6/25) and birth (8/29).
In a special area of the 3-story attraction that houses over 100 celebrity figures, Hollywood visitors will get to see all three figures up close and have their picture taken in front of each $300,000 likeness.
Michael Jackson’s relationship with Madame Tussauds spanned some 25 years. His first sitting in 1984 led to subsequent sittings and a visit to the London attraction by “the gloved one” in 2005, with his children.
Jackson has been sculpted six different times and is the most widely exhibited figure in the Madame Tussauds worldwide empire.
Life-like figures of Bruce Willis, Elizabeth Taylor, Justin Timberlake and Penelope Cruz are among some 100+ featured figures at Madame Tussauds Hollywood. Best yet, the “MJ Experience” will be included as part of Madame Tussauds regular general admission price.
