This summer Epicurean youngsters step out of the classroom and into the kitchen at Ramekins, the Sonoma culinary school, event venue and inn.
Sonoma Wineries: Family Fun for Every Age
Trips to Sonoma County need not be adult-only. While grown-up family members indulge in vintages and varietals at these nearby family-friendly vineyards recommended by Ramekins: Benziger (888/490-2739, 1883 London Ranch Road Glen Ellen, CA 95442); Ravenswood (707/933-2332, 18701 Gehricke Road Sonoma, CA 95476); and Chateau St Jean (707/833-4134, 8555 Sonoma Highway Kenwood, CA 95452) — children can stay equally entertained with a cooking course for foodies-in-training.
The four-day camp is led by the school's chef and instructor Lisa Lavagetto, who aims to focus on healthful family cooking, regional foods and creativity.
