For a French visa you’ll need a standard passport photo. It needs to be recent (within the last 6 months), color, and with correct (not sure about it). Make sure to be facing forward with a neutral expression and light background. They don’t want anything too casual. You can usually get visa photos printed at your local pharmacy or post office if needed.
