When you first arrive in Lakeland, the first thought is probably that this is a small town. Just like any other. And you’d be right. But just because this is a small town, that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun! A person has to make their own fun or fun will never come. There are always the usual activities to do like movies or dinner. Especially if you are partial to eating, there is a wide array of different types of restaurants! One night you could go for some sushi at Gosh and the next for a cheeseburger the size of your head at The Chop Shop! If you’re feeling a little competitive, you can visit Family Fun Center for a relatively cheap game of mini golf or an intense game of laser tag. You could go to the movies one night at Cobb Theaters or, if you missed a previous movie, go to the cheaper Palm Cinema for a movie that is no longer at Cobb. If you want to do a little shopping, you could visit Lakeside Village. It’s a beautiful outside mall with a great selection of food and clothing places. And if you’re feeling adventurous you could go to a spring and float down the icy water on tubes! There is a whole bunch of things to choose from in Lakeland so don’t be fooled by the “small town” image and come visit!
