My community is a small town nestled between the mountains that form Utah Valley. At first glance, it probably looks like just some town in some state, but that's only because a person needs to stay a little longer to see the true beauty of Cedar Hills, Utah.
Cedar Hills is potentially a photographer's dream. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, there are so many opportunities to capture the beautiful scenery. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful, and they are constantly different. Then, just steps away from my house is a trail that runs alongside a small creek. It leads to a golf course and from there to the mouth of American Fork canyon. This trail gives me the opportunity to escape constantly. Up on one of Cedar Hills' various hills, I can feel the wind blow through my hair and I can be alone with my thoughts. Anyone looking for an escape can find peace in the simplicity of life here in Cedar Hills.

Utah Valley offers something for everyone. While the mountains provide a beautiful landscape, they are also fun to hike! Mount Timpanogos is a popular attraction for hikers. Although the hike takes the better part of a day, the view at the top is breathtaking, and gives a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment. For those with families, not far from Cedar Hills is a dinosaur museum that is very child-friendly, yet interesting for adults. There is an aquarium with a touch tank and a zoo with over 800 animals. And of course, there's Lagoon, a couple hours away, but one of the funnest amusement parks I've ever been to. There are thrill rides like Wicked, Colossus, and The Samurai for people seeking an adrenaline rush and gentler rides like OdySea for small children.
There are plenty of activities for those who don't have families as well! A day of boating on Utah Lake is a unique experience, as is a hike to Silver Lake, up the canyon. In the wintertime, Utah has beautiful snowfalls. Utah is very well-known for it's amazing skiing snow, and anyone who wants to go skiing for the first time or for the hundredth would love to ski in Utah.
One of the musical groups native to Utah is The Piano Guys. They have a concert in Salt Lake about every three months, and to anyone looking for some entertainment, go see one of The Piano Guys concerts for some great music and a fun night!
Utah has so much diversity, but it takes an open mind to see what Utah has to offer.
