Jupiter, Florida is a
Jewel of
Unmatched adventures and a
Place
In which to
Travel and be
Entertained….
Royally!
Jupiter offers something for everyone. We have parks galore for biking, hiking, sailing, and trailing. Riverbend Park offers 10 miles of biking and equestrian trails. There are canoes and kayaks to rent. Paddle through alligator infested waters, while enjoying a glimpse of Mother Nature gone primeval.
Diving, fishing, and snorkeling are Jupiter’s treasures. Being so close to the warm Gulf Stream brings an abundance of sea life close to shore.
We can’t forget our golfers, with residents Tiger Woods, Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus, (to name a few). With nearly 30 golf courses within a 10-mile radius, it is truly a “golfer” paradise.
Our schools are all “A” rated. Jupiter High School includes nationally ranked teams in baseball and lacrosse. The football team tries hard, but “The Spirit of Jupiter Marching Band” has ranked at least 4 in the state for the past 5 years.
For outdoor fun, come out to Roger Dean Baseball Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins Spring Training camp. It also hosts the Jupiter Hammerheads and Palm Beach Cardinals minor leagues. Baseball, hotdogs and fireworks last from January to September.
The town has a soft heart for the arts with both the Maltz Theatre and the Atlantic Performing Arts studios showing off the local talent. Some of our celebrity neighbors include Burt Reynolds, Celine Dion and Kid Rock.
Historically speaking, come visit the Loxahatchee Battlefield reenactments at Riverbend Park. We also boast claim to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Museum and Lighthouse from 1860. Across the water lies Bubba Gump Fish Restaurant. It offers boat tours as well as Forrest Gump trivia and tee shirts.
For those who enjoy animals, we have the Loggerhead Marine Life Center – a state of the art rehabilitation center for turtles. It sponsors programs to watch the turtles being hatched on the beach and crawl to their ocean home. They promote marine conservation, offer kids the opportunity to learn about biology and share their knowledge through local-sponsored events.
For those who enjoy festivals, Jupiter offers a ton of them. The Jupiter Jubilee , Artigras and Artfest by the Sea just to name a few. Every month is another opportunity to imbibe in good food and drink.
For horse lovers, Jupiter offers a multitude of equestrian events. We have a large population of cow folk out here in the “Farms”. There are even opportunities for the “first timers” to take their first trot.
On the not so pretty days, head out to our bowling alley, complete with disco ball. Or maybe take in a movie at the Jupiter Theatre. There is shopping at the Palm Beach Gardens Mall, about 6.2 miles south on I-95. It offers over 160 stores, for browsing and buying pleasure.
Our beaches are unique touting their own personality: some are for dogs, some are for surfers. For pool lovers, our community pool offers a refreshing dip. Less than 15 miles down I-95 is Rapids Water Park, known for it’s 35 slides and water rides, a lazy river and wave pool.
The car enthusiast will appreciate Palm Beach International Raceway, offering racing galore. If learning to fly is on your bucket list, the Jupiter Tequesta Airport offers private lessons.
Jupiter is located approx. 2.35 hours south of Orlando (154 miles) and 2.40 hours north of Key Largo (150 miles).
Voted by me, Austin Welsh, the best place to chill.
