Please use “Car Transport drivers” – if you are talking about one driver one car. If you’re hauling them on trucks, I’m too old for that.

Hi! I am not a professional driver at all but I’m a middle aged woman who needs to deliver a larger gift to a family member in California and I’d rather be able to fly home after delivering it so I’d prefer to not drive my own car. Hi Lori C. My name is Mark Dougherty and I am a driver for hire. I have a question about transporting your car. Can your car be driven or do you want it transported on a car carrier. I drive cars and rental trucks cross country. If you are moving I can drive a rental truck with your belongings and tow your car on a car carrier or just drive your car to Philly.
I charge $10.00 an hour driving time no matter if I am driving a rental truck and towing a car or just driving a car plus expenses related to the trip. I use Google maps to determine the driving cost. According to Google it’s a 39 hour drive from Reno to Philly, so my driving cost is $390.00 plus the expenses.
Expenses are:
Plane ticket from San Diego to Reno with one checked bag There are non-stop flights from San Diego to Reno daily on Southwest for $278.00 on Thursday Sept 19th. Fridays flight is $302.00
Return to San Diego on Sept 25th $250.00. These are just sample flights with flying non stop from San Diego to Reno and from Philly to San Diego with one stop. Both flights have free checked bags.
Meals: $50.00 per day x 6=$300.00
Motels: $100.00+/- per night x 5 nights $500.00+/-
Fuel: unknown cost as I don’t know what I will be driving and what your cars mpg is.
$60.00 for my wife to drive me to the airport and pick me up on my return.
I put all expenses on my credit card with the exception of the plane ticket, I ask that you put them on your credit card.
Depending on time of day I pass through Chicago area I might be able to stop at my sister in law house and spend the night plus saving on couple meals.
You pay only what are on the receipts that are related to the trips.
Expenses:
Driving cost: $390.00
Plane tickets: $552.00
Meals: $300.00
Motels: $500.00+/-
Cost to airport round trip $60.00
Fuel is unknown cost.
Total: $1802.00 not including fuel cost or any unforseen expenses related to the trip: example, replacing a blown tire.
