    Hi Joe,

We have two posts about Barcelona that may be helpful. It’s hard to avoid the crowds in such a popular and romantic city, especially in Summer, but there are so many cozy bars in the Old Town, and high vistas like from the Montjuic Funicular that you’ll feel like you’re in a world of your own.
We also love the whimsical Gaudi buildings. If you go to La Pedrera or Casa Battlo early in the day (before cruise passengeres disembark) there will be many fewer people. Have a wonderful time:

This is a very popular area for Italian families and the beaches like Vittoria and around Saracen Bay are very crowded in summer. Since FL has typical Med beaches with some sand but lots of pebble and rocks, and since your children are very young, we think you will want to at least rent beach chairs and umbrellas so you have shade from the sun.

You may save money by arriving at one of the seaside restaurants early and taking a lunch table, so you can use that as a base for the beach. But of course you will have to spend money there to stay any length of time. Do check with the beach clubs, who have these facilities right on site, what their weekly rate is if you are planning to be at the beach each day of your vacation.

There are also other things to see and do, like touring Finalborgo and the countryside. On the other side of Finalborgo, Finale Pea is a newer area with a historic church and also it own small beach. We hear there’s a quieter beach at Bagni Mariella (near very busy Varigotti), supposed to be less busy and very nice as well, so there may be options not too far from town.

    Hi Denise,
Have you tried the service: https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/us/ They do house swaps between travelers who want someone to take care of their home and/or pets, and those who want to get away and stay in a homelike setting. Very good reputation; they’ve been operating in Europe for years and are relatively new to the U.S.
    Good luck!

Just an option for you and I can do it ASAP.

This is what I post on Craigslist Rideshare San Diego:

Driver for your Uhaul/Penske or your vehicle cross country

If you need a driver for your rental truck or your vehicle please read then contact me.
I am a driver for people that need there vehicle driven to their destination. I charge $10 an hour driving time. The driving time is determined by Google maps driving time and for example the driving time between San Diego and Sarasota was 35 hours and the driving cost was $350 and that is a flat rate. If the actual driving time is 40 hours the cost is still $350. You pay all expenses which include fuel, meals, motel, return plane ticket to San Diego and transportation to departure airport. I recently drove a Penske 26′ truck from San Diego to Sarasota, FL. I departed at 2 am and drove to El Paso, Tx arriving approx 5 pm, I left at 2 am the next day and drove to Sulfur, LA arriving around 5 pm and again I left the next morning at 2 am arriving in Sarasota, FL around 9:30 pm. This is almost 2500 miles. I flew back to San Diego on the 4th day. The total expenses for the 4 day trip was $1808 for the meals, motel, plane ticket and fuel. The last night for the motel the person who I drove for paid for that night and the rental truck charge was on their card. I charge the expenses on my credit card and I ask for two receipts, one for your records and one for mine. I ask you put the plane ticket on your card. So this is an estimate of what I can do for you if you need a moving truck driven cross country. The cost would be a lot less as the fuel use is a lot less. 500 mile minimum.

    Driving cross-country this summer
    Hi there!
My husband and I are going from New York to Denver and back to New Hampshire in August (I know we might be a little bit early on this), and wondered if anyone might be moving or need a car driven either direction! Please let me know if you do!
We’re both great drivers with excellent driving records, and we’re just interested in taking the “scenic” route across the country this summer!
Would love to work something out!
    Thanks!

Update Greenfield, MA to San Diego, CA
I have an update for your search for driver to drive from Greenfield, MA to San Diego, CA. I saw this on Boston Craigslist yesterday:

$300 – Drive my sweet dog to San Francisco
I’m looking for someone to give my small (25lb) well-behaved, crate-trained 6-year-old pup a ride to San Francisco.
Her name is Leah, and she’s a sweetheart. She’s accustomed to traveling in cars (has been on a cross-country road trip about 5-6 times so far in her life).
She loves everyone, and is friendly with dogs and people. She’s happy to travel in her soft crate in the car if that works better for you.
If you’re driving cross-counry and think you might be able to take her, please drop me a line and tell me about yourself/your trip.
Happy to chip in $300 for gas and I will include all the food she needs.

NOTE: If this ad is up, I’m still looking for someone! I’ll remove it once I find someone.

The posting is still up. This will help for your cost to get your car to San Diego. I would drive from Greenfield to San Francisco to San Diego. i am available. My cell is 619-993-6577, home 619-443-6537, email [email protected]. I live in Lakeside, Ca 92040 which is in east county of San Diego.

National Museum was great. I went there with my friend, whom like museum sightseeing much, and as what she said that this place is amazing and I admit that as soon as I walk from each room there. It will be great if the governor puts all the old statue into a glass which is will be good for the maintenance. But overall the experience was great, try it. Sorry about my bad English.

You must try the national museum, It is well maintained and not to be missed. The building itself was of Dutch architecture. Lots of artifacts from Hindu and Buddhist temple are showcased here. There were a lot of kids coming from all over the country to visit. Watch out for rip-off taxis there.

Yes, Royale Jakarta it is!!! It was designed as a championship golf course; this is not an easy course especially for my embarrassing handicap. But the contour, the challenging, the maintenance on the course is very good. The club house design is nice. They also have a very nice service. I agree it is expensive.

If you are into golf then you must try Royale Jakarta, it is a beautiful golf course with international standard and excellent facilities. If you are in Jakarta, it’s the best place to play golf. Really nice golf course in the middle of the city. I believe it’s the best-maintained golf course in the area, with precision cut fairways and beautiful landscaping. The blue / black tees are long and difficult, especially with the super slippery greens. But, it’s worth to play. It’s one of my favorite courses in Jakarta. Highly recommended but bring lots of money.

If you will be travelling with kids then you must try Kidzania. It is outstanding for kids 4 to 14, experience, activities, participation for kids to role play in real life adult roles, it’s an amazing concept. Everyone should take their kids to KIDZANIA, Jakarta is one of the first international KidZanai’s but now they are in many places like Bangkok, KL, Seoul, Dubai, Osaka and about 15 others… Great family edutainment.

Are you the type who loves beautiful architecture? Then appreciate the European-style cathedral in the bustling city of Jakarta. It is interesting that Jakarta’s only cathedral is located just right across the largest mosque in Indonesia. The cathedral dates back to the Dutch colonial era. The church is open 7 days a week for anyone who wish to visit. It’s definitely a nice quiet place of worship.

PARIS is my favorite city in the world. The Seine and the bridges that cross it, the grand boulevards, the monumental squares, the magnificent monuments, the charming streets of Montmartre — these images of Paris confirm that it is indeed the most elegant and sophisticated of all cities. It has inspired practically every major world capital, with every city claiming its own Champs-Elysèes, and Place des Vosges becoming the prototype of residential squares throughout Europe. Sit at an outdoor café table or go on a boat tour of the Seine and see it all romantically flash before your eyes.

last time me and my wife visit in Paris. we lot of enjoy on this trip.
