Shangri-La’ s Fijian Resort in Fiji, previously a winner of FTF’s Top 10 Getaways for Tiny Travelers award, gets a fresh look in 2015.
A South Pacific paradise awaits you on the 109-acre private island of Yanuca, just 45 minutes from the airport on Viti-Levu by causeway. You will be treated to warm hospitality and attentive service in a spectacularly luxurious tropical setting. Relax on the serene beach or poolside, get pampered a Chi, the on-site spa, or snorkel in the vividly colored coral reefs. If you’re feeling more energetic, you can go sailing, play tennis or golf, or work out in the well-equipped gym.
Families are most welcome at Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort, where the variety of lodgings ranges from suites, family rooms and bures (beach bungalows), all taking in the magnificent view of the ocean. The two-bedroom family bures also offer living and dining areas, and a patio overlooking Yanuca Island lagoon, so the family has room to spread out. In fact, returning guests from Europe and the Pacific are accommodated so comfortably, that stays of two to three weeks are not uncommon!
The Little Chief’s Club, a supervised program including swimming races, beach cricket, crab races, pottery making, scavenger hunts, castle building and Fijian language and storytelling is available for children ages 4-12 daily. Younger children and toddlers under age 4 are welcome to participate with a babysitter. Private childcare is available so parents can have fun together during the days and/or enjoy a romantic, seaside dinner.
Children under the age of 12-years-old can enjoy complimentary buffet meals at the Lagoon Terrace Restaurant if eating with an adult. Teens ages 12-16 can eat at the buffet at a discounted rate.
