    Hi Suzi,
    Based on my two experiences I was not asked to produce I797 at port of entry, this is at LAX. Only my H1b visa was checked and stamped.
    Best to consult with your employer assigned immigration team. Good Luck

    I’m on H1B and have lost my original I797 Approval notice and, I have the USA visa stamped. My company has filed for a duplicate (I-824) but the USCIS wait times are between 12-24 months.
    I have travel planned next month to Canada to get my Canada PR stamped.
    I do have a photocopy of the document. Would it be :-
    1) sufficient at the port of entry for getting back to the US ?

    Is the travel high risk?
