Relax to the Max - My Family Travels

Have you ever felt like you just need a few days to let everything go? Well that was me a few weeks ago. I needed a break, from everything. And guess what? One day when I got home from practice, dead tired of course, my mom announced that we were going to take a one week trip with Carnival Cruise Lines. We would go to Key West, Grand Cayman, and Jamaica. So, basically, the southernmost tip of the Continental US and two islands in the Caribbean.

The day we arrived to the port I found our ship's name to be the Carnival Valor. It was beautiful in every possible way. With more than 11 floors, it felt as if it were a city of its own. We had a balcony, so you could stare out and look at the gorgeous, clashing blue waves whenever you went outside.

After a day of mouth-watering food and impeccable room service, we arrived at Key West, just 90 miles from Cuba. Economic shops and beautiful beaches crossed your sight whenever you turned. Sloppy Joe’s Bar served some of the best burgers I have ever tried.

Two days later was the most adventurous, yet fun and relaxing experience I have ever had. After walking around some shops in British-owned Grand Cayman, we were taken on a tour to a place named Stingray City. Here, my family and I got to swim and even kiss stingray! Sounds scary? Maybe at first, but it was an amazing adventure. And after that came a relaxing couple of hours at a beach with perfectly white sand, Tiki Beach.

If you think the days at sea were boring, then think again. Pools, restaurants, casinos, discos, massages, a gym, you name it! Anything and everything you needed was at your disposal, whether you wanted to take a nap or go to a party, you would be very pleased.

The last island we set foot on was Jamaica, where we took a horse trip with Chukka Horses. We met many Jamaican people and got to live a day in their 'Don’t Worry, Be Happy' way of life. Our driver even taught us a bit of Jamaica on our way to the horses. After the horse ride throughout the mountains, we swam with them! There’s evidence in one of my pictures. Who knew?
The last days on the cruise were spent enjoying the pools and taking pictures for our family photo album. We met so many great people from everywhere around the world, it’s astonishing to see how many different cultures can bond together within such a great vessel. We even made some friends whom it wasn't easy to say goodbye to.

Basically, this trip was a get your mind of all problems, enjoy, live, and, as the title states, relax to the max! It is totally recommended for anyone looking for relaxation, vacation, fun, adventures, or any other type of trip. 100% perfect. As they say in Jamaica: No Problem Mon.
