Anguilla's Cerulean Villa Is Amazing - My Family Travels

I wanted to tell you about somewhere — We just visited—

Anguilla is an exquisite island to begin with. BUT when you combine Anguilla with the MOST amazing villa called Cerulean– you get an incredible vacation. So many activites for kids of ALL ages.

I will say it doesn’t come cheap– but for ultimate indulgence– there is no other place like Cerulean. It’s right on the beach at Barnes Bay– with spectacular sunsets. It was designed by the architect Deborah Burke. The place was the concept of Laurie Weltz, who is an extensive traveler– and wanted to create a blissful place to bring her family and friends– as well as make it a private villa to rent.

We stayed there for one week. Eight luxurious bedrooms that can accommodate 16. Each room is appointed with a unique bedroom style, dressing table, large walk-in closet, huge shower and all but one has a huge bath. There are also cribs and single beds for small children.

There is a staff of 14. All meals are made fresh by a top chef with any food allergies or ‘favorites’ considered for children OR adults. Dining is all outside!  There is an extensive wine cellar as well and full top label alcohol.

One evening they prepared a BBQ on the beach along with a huge bonfire! They have glow sticks for the kids and ice cubes that light up!!

They can prepare scavenger hunts or just let you relax.

There is an on-site concierge to book any other activities — like a boat trip, scuba diving, tour of the island or golfing nearby. One really wants to just relax there but everything is available.

Huge fresh water (non-clorine) pool overlooks the turquoise Carribbean. Lounge chairs are dressed with thick towels. There is even a hot tub tucked privately on the second floor. Ping pong, large screen TV with an extensive DVD collection. Tennis court, basketball and weight room are on premises and spa treatments are available.
