Schools out for the summer but that doesn’t mean it’s time to stop learning.  An education doesn’t always present itself in the form of text books, life experience is a valuable tool.  Who would have thought that at the age of sixteen, checking into the Cozy Cone Motel at Disneyland’s California Adventure would have been so rewarding.  A trip down Main Street is magic, but a cruise down Route 66 is an adventure.

A stop at Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree is a hoe-down’n blast.  As the tractor dance begins, so does your lesson.

Each one of the Holstein Heifer Chewall Diesel Powered tractors teaches new drivers how to recover from a spin, take your foot off the accelerator and steer in the direction the rear of the tractor is moving.  Mater knows how to teach, yet captivate a teenage audience with skills that every new driver must experience.

Time to have your tires checked by no other than, Luigi.  Luigi, owner of Luigi’s Casa Della Tires will hook you up with tires to roll through Radiator Springs.  The big-hearted Italian Fiat 500 allows drivers of all ages to test drive tires of all makes.  The course can be congested, yet that is what makes things exciting.  No insurance companies are called, so here is your one and only chance to safely experience a crash.

Buckle up, the instruction on cruising will lift you off your seat.  Zooming up and down the mountain, maneuvering around rock outcroppings, and making quick turns could only have been taught by Lighting McQueen himself.  Number 95, the hot shot race car should zip out to get his teaching certificate.  Instruction on key timing of acceleration and steering are mastered by all drivers through Radiator Springs with the insight Lighting McQueen shares.

Cruising on Route 66 with Radiator Springs in the rearview mirror was heartbreaking.  Drivers Education could not have been taught by a better group of instructors.  Next stop the DMV to take my drivers license test, may the adventures continue.
