Have you tried the service: https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/us/ They do house swaps between travelers who want someone to take care of their home and/or pets, and those who want to get away and stay in a homelike setting. Very good reputation; they’ve been operating in Europe for years and are relatively new to the U.S.

Sometimes you just need someone to stay at your home while you’re on vacation or out of town for business. I have over 20 years experience doing this. References available I can go anywhere in the country if needed. You pay expenses to get me there.
