Laura Sutherland is a seasoned freelance travel writer who has specialized in family travel since her first of six family travel guides was published in 1991. She has been contributing to Family Travel Forum since 1997, when she wrote a resort review of the Four Seasons Nevis, and the Bitter End Yacht Club Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands (they’re still terrific!). Since then, Laura has covered ski vacations, family resorts, adventure trips, multi-generation family vacations and just about every other category in the family travel ecosystem for FTF. Over the years Laura’s travel stories have appeared in publications such as Family Fun, Real Simple, Parents, The Dallas Morning News and Miami Herald. She recently added food and drinks coverage to her list of travel specialties, and has regular features in publications such as Edible, Taste and Travel International and Lookout.
