Q – Jodi E. of Bethesda, Maryland inquires: I am planning a family reunion for 17 adults and 9 kids ranging in age form 1 to 60+. Proximity to a major airport is key as we are coming from all over the US. HELP!

A – First, we suggest you take the time to read FTF for our "Family Reunion Planning: 6 Steps to Stress-Free Success."

In 2004, FTF screened over a hundred nominations to come up with our picks for the "Top 10 Getaways for Family Reunions."  Take a look at this overview and then for the individual stories.

You can also read about the very popular "Reunion Destination: Door County, Wisconsin," 50 miles from Green Bay/150 miles from Milwaukee.  Additionally, "Sandusky, Ohio," home of the famous Cedar Point theme park, is centrally located.  Sandusky has a variety of resorts (budget to high end) and is 1 hour from Cleveland and Toledo, 2 hours from Detroit and Columbus and near Lake Erie and some lakeside resorts and B&Bs.  Go to our article to read more about "Cedar Point".

Seven Springs Mountain Resort has both snow and summer facilities. This small convention center/big resort offers family packages, many housing options, and is about 1 hour from Pittsburgh.
