Q. Andrea F. of Brazil writes: We would like recommendations for a hotel, inn or resort with a baby program, infant facilities and nearby medical care in the Caribbean or Mexico. We are traveling for 3 weeks over the Christmas holiday.
A. We have received your request for tropical beach resort ideas because your family from Minas Gerais in Brazil with a 1-year-old is looking for a resort with a nursery or infant's program in the Caribbean or Mexico. You say you are planning to travel over the Christmas holiday.
The Vacation With Baby section of the website includes reviews of many resorts with baby programs. Each has been checked out by our reporters.
Among our favorites are 3 all-inclusive resorts with great facilities, but if you are staying a long time they will be quite expensive. Read about our favorites: the Club Med Sandpiper in Florida, just reopening after a big renovation; the Beaches Resorts in Jamaica and Turks & Caicos; and a much smaller place, the Franklyn D Resort or FDR Resort in Jamaica. Each has an organized group nursery, good medical care, and infant gear (such as highchairs in the dining room) that you can use while there. At FDR, there are condominiums and you may be able to arrange a special price there if you stay longer than one week.
Also, if you would be happy with a great beach resort and a private babysitter for your son (instead of a group nursery), you can consider these wonderful beach resorts noted in FTF's Top Beach Resort Getaways. Again, many of these resorts have condos on the property, and since these have kitchens, it would be cheaper for you to book one of them so you can cook at home, and just pay for whatever hotel facilities you need for the baby.
Also, since you mentioned that you're interested in a good restaurants and eco-adventures and boating, you might want to consider Key West, Florida.
Everything is within walking distance of most hotels, and Key West is a quiet town with outdoor cafes and many eco-adventure day trips for canoeing, kayaking and more. You can swim at your hotel but there are few sand beaches — the Florida Keys are more for snorkeling and boating than lying on a beach. This story about Key West FloridaHotels And Resorts has many suggestions for smaller places that will have babysitting service available.

Yes, recent trends suggest that Americans are regaining confidence in vacations and travel. As travel restrictions ease and vaccination rates increase, many Americans are showing a greater willingness to travel and explore destinations again. However, it’s important to stay updated on travel advisories and safety measures to ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
Reading Fran Falkin’s insights took me back to my first trip with Whiskers, my feline companion. The chaos of ensuring he was comfortable amidst the hustle of the airport was a lesson in patience. Had I come across these invaluable tips earlier, our journey would’ve been as smooth as a calm sea.

I read your article on the Sheep of Sun Valley and I found it very fascinating and enjoyable. You have given a detailed and colorful account of your experience at the Trailing of the Sheep Festival, which celebrates the history and culture of sheepherding in Idaho. I think your article is a great way to introduce this unique and fun event to other travelers and families who are looking for a different and memorable adventure.
