    Butterfly Valley

Fethiye Butterfly Valley is one of the 100 mountains proposed to be preserved as a world heritage due to the endemic species that it possesses. The Valley of Butterflies located on the piedmonts of Babadag mountain was declared a natural protection area on February 8, 1995, and restricted to all kinds of constructions. If it had not been restricted that time, we would not have such a natural beauty today

    .

Surrounded by steep rocky walls reaching 350 meters, the valley is named after the diverse butterfly species on it, especially from the jersey tiger (a sort of butterfly). Passing through the middle of the valley which is poured 50 meters high and with a small waterfall in the village of Faralya, Butterfly Valley reaches the Mediterranean with a creek.
