Family Travel Forum (FTF) and its travel industry partners congratulate the winners of the 2019 FTF Teen Travel Writing Scholarship. Completing its 13th year, this merit scholarship promotes teen literacy and reward teens’ best travel blogs with cash prizes for college or future travels.
After reviewing more than 1,100 wonderful travel tales from teens studying at U.S., U.S. International or Homeschool programs around the world, winners were selected from just the top 3%.
Finalists were judged on creativity, eloquence, a sense of place, emotional impact and use of the language. We thank Judges Kit Bernardi, Ron Bozman, Fran Falkin, Richard Koss and Eileen Ogintz, professional journalists at Lonely Planet, Taking the Kids, Time Out, USA TODAY, South China Morning Post, AAA Publications, FamilyTravelForum.com and other outlets for their time and passion for this project.
