I highly recommend Sunset Beach Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This resort has something to offer everyone from ages 2 to 102.
The scenery was breathtaking, the food was extremely pleasant to the palate and the staff was accommodating and delightful. We have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in the past, but thus far this resort truly stands out in many ways.
The complimentary “Club Mongoose,” open 9 am to 9 pm, offers daytime and evening activities such as arts & crafts, nature walks, basketball, dancing, talent shows and a pen pal club. Children from 2 to 4, 5 to 8, and 9 to 12-years-old have their own age-specific activity groups. The colorful Club is decorated with figurines of frogs, dinosaurs, snakes, and turtles. The resort also features three private beaches, three swimming pools, four restaurants, a spa and live entertainment.
All-inclusive packages include food and beverage, entertainment, non-motorized water sports, taxes, gratuities, Club Mongoose, health club, and room service.
At our visit, the resort was undergoing renovations related to an expansion, so there might be some noise related to this process. But it seems like it’s a big kids’ waterpark so that will make it even more fun for families with kids to stay in.
Our four night seasonal special cost around $1300 for a family of four. For more information about Sunset Beach, and to discuss rates (which are often negotiable and include “Last Minute Jamaica Specials”), call the place we booked through, Changes in L’Attitudes agency at (800/330-8272) or your own travel agent.
