Minutes away from many of Hollywood’s most popular destinations, the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn (4222 Vineland Avenue; 800/BEVERLY) named after Hollywood actress of the same name, has been welcoming families and celebrities since 1972. Recently completing a major renovation, the hotel, designed to evoke old Hollywood glamour, was influenced by the California mission and Spanish hacienda styles of architecture. Each of the 255 guest rooms and suites include a private balcony overlooking Hollywood’s Santa Monica and Verdugo mountains.
The hotel’s five comfy KidSuites are ideal for families. These partitioned suites allow parents and children the freedom and privacy of separate rooms within a single suite. KidSuites also feature a refrigerator, microwave, and game table.
The kids “cubby” area is equipped with bunk beds, a 21-inch flat panel television complete with LodgeNet video games and a DVD/CD player. The parents’ section is equipped with a queen size bed and a 32-inch flat panel TV. For families in need of additional space there’s two Deluxe KidSuites, which, in addition to all of the amenities of the standard suites, feature a king-size bed, sofa bed, seating area, and a breakfast nook with game table.
Hotel amenities include tennis courts, a state-of- the-art fitness center, and heated outdoor pool complete with fire pit, children’s playground area, and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access.
The Inn’s Tula’s California Café, named after Beverly’s granddaughter, is decorated in colorfully retro and earthy tones – very Hollywood. Featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees that call for only the freshest of ingredients. Everyone in the family will find a favorite dish here.
