My Family Vacation - My Family Travels

Two summers ago, my family and I traveled to the huge state of California. Many might think we were going to the beaches or going to Hollywood, but we didn’t. We touched down in San Francisco for two days and to start the trip my sister got lost getting onto the monorail after our flight. After reuniting with her, we rented a minivan to tote us around for our travels. Seeing the San Fran Bridge was quite a sight, because before I had only seen it on television shows or in movies. It lived up to all the hype it had been given, it was huge. San Francisco was for sure a unique town. We happened to be down there the same week that the Gay Pride Festival was going on and man was that a sight to see!  After shopping and sightseeing after two days we set out for the real reason we came to California, to see Yosemite National Park.

Many people have probably not heard of it, and honestly it’s a shame. When we arrived after about a four hour drive from San Fran, we finally got to our hotel. It was in the small town named Oakhurst, and it had that cabin feel to it. It was nice, but my sister and I just wanted to see the park! We unpacked and settled into the hotel getting our outfits and hiking boots ready for the day to come.

After a restless night sleeping induced by excitement, we finally embark on our one hour trip to the park. Getting there is a bunch of winding roads, and trees and scenery that you could never find anywhere else in the world. It was breathtaking. We finally get to the entrance and park and set out for what we wanted to do for the days to come. Walking along the Mist Trail, seeing all the amazing waterfalls and scenery were just a few of the sites we saw. Walking in the wilderness and seeing humungous trees really gave me a different perspective on life. I realized that there was more to the world than just humans and that nature is like a whole world by itself. My family and I didn’t always agree on where we wanted to go or what sites we wanted to see, so that was the downside to the trip of course. Walking through the forests and scenery, made me calm and forget about all the worries that I had at home or any frustrations that I had. Being out in this park, made me take a step back and really look at the important things in life. Whether it was making your way up a steep hill or walking along a log trying not to get wet. Nature made me see that just like climbing up the hill was like making an uphill battle with anything back at home. It not only changed how I looked at many different situations in my life and to approach them calm, cool, and collected just like nature presents itself.

Well, I tend to be a very critical person with a critical bent of mind who always comments on others post emphasizing on the missed-out points. However, your writer seems to have done a great job as there’s nothing much that I can think of saying. It is an amazing write-up that is extremely useful for your concerned target audience. I’m definitely going to share this on Twitter.
