Disney World Trip with the South Range High School Marching Band - My Family Travels

Ever since I was a little girl, I have always wanted to explore the world.  I was always interested in meeting new people and embracing their culture.  I have wanted to travel to different exotic places all my life.  I want to understand the lives of other people  and what its like to "walk a mile in someone else's shoes".  I would love to embrace different cultures, people, lifestyles, and nature.  Even though I haven't had the chance to visit other countries and continents, I love vacationing in multiple areas where different cultures, people, lifestyles, and nature are very abundant.  Although I haven't extended my traveling out of the United States, I still can say that I have the time of my life just vacationing to other states and meeting new people.

My sophomore year as a member in the South Range High School Marching Band, our band director received an email inviting the band to perform in the weekly Saturday night light Parade the park puts on.  After countless hours of planning this amazing trip and with 3 coach buses, 500 dollars to pay for the trip, 150 teenagers, instruments and uniforms, luggage, and excitement in the air, the band was headed off to Orlando, Florida.  Before we reached our destination, one of the buses broke down at least three different times.  Even though the trip was off to a rough start, we made the most of the down time we had while mechanics worked on our bus.  We made countless memories and the touring company we used, New Horizons, was very helpful in working around the technical difficulties we encountered on our way down.  After a full 24 hour bus ride, we were all rested and ready to have some fun on Coca Beach.  After we had our fair share of swimming and playing on the beach, the whole band headed back to Hilton Hotel.  I would strongly recommend this hotel for any fellow Disney lovers.  It was close to the amusement park and also high quality service and rooms.  The next day, once we were all settled in of course, the band headed off for Epcot and Animal Kingdom.  Both of these parks were packed full of thrilling rides, wonderful, different people, helpful staff, and wonderful landscaping.  A full day of socializing, walking around two massive parks, and riding exciting rides wore the band out.  The next few days would be spent at the other two parks called MGM and Magic Kingdom.  In my opinion, Magic Kingdom is by far the best park out of the four.  On Saturday, the band changed into the hot, layer- abundant uniforms back stage.  It was almost show time!  After countless hours of practicing "Fantasia", our band was prepared to march.  The massive doors opened, that concealed the hidden world of Disney  and the whole band, with gleaming faces and instruments at hand marched in step and played "Fantasia" with all of our heart.  It was one of those moments that I will never forget in my lifetime.  I felt like I was on cloud 9.  The way that our music filled the park with joy is indescribable.  Traveling to Disney World was the most thrilling, awesome, and fun experience and vacation I have ever taken.  Disney will always have a special place in my heart and I would strongly recommend vacationing there.  It was unforgettable.
