A Taste of Colorado - My Family Travels
Colorado's 4 seasons
Mesa Verde

My guess is that you want me to persuade you into thinking that Colorado is the place for you and your family to be. It would be impossible for me to make an assumption about a place that has to be experienced on a personal level. What I can tell you, I experienced personally. Colorado is famous for its Rocky Mountains, and let me tell you, there can be countless activities that can be enjoyed by everyone in the family not only in the mountains, but everywhere. Colorado is one of the few states that can promise you a magnificent experience of all four seasons. If you are a person that likes beaches during the summer, Colorado is the place to be. The Aurora Reservoir can give you that same experience of being on the beach, and afterwards, if you wanted to, you could take your family on an enjoyable hike in the Rocky Mountains to enjoy the wild life and nature that our mountains have to offer. If you like amusement parks more than the wildlife, there is no need for you to worry, Denver, Co is home to Six Flags, Water World, and Lakeside; all three amusement parks can be enjoyed by anyone in the family. If your family likes the snow and cold more than the blazing hot summer, don’t worry, Colorado has multiple Ski/Snowboarding resorts. After all, Colorado is famous for its mountains. Who knows, your family might be more into visiting Museums and seeing everything historic instead of visiting amusement parks; well, Colorado has numerous museums that could be appeasing to many different people’s interests. There is one place that I have not yet been to, but I know it would be an amazing place to visit. Mesa Verde is located in Montezuma County, Colorado. It was saved by President Roosevelt in 1906. He saved it “to protect some of the best-preserved cliff dwellings in the world” according to Wikipedia. Indians began to build the cliff dwellings in the late 1190’s. Mesa Verde is the evidence that Indians left before the start of the 15th century, and it is still standing today. If you and your family are really interested in visiting Mesa Verde, the time would be now. Mesa Verde has been standing since the 15th century, and it isn’t going to last much longer due to erosion.

One interesting attraction that is really rare would be the Denver Mint. There is only so many in America, and Denver, Co is one of the three states that have one; so come on down and see where all that money in your wallet came from and see how it is made. If you and your family do decide to come on down to Colorado, you could enjoy some exotic meals from many different restaurants. For example, The Buckhorn Exchange. It’s the oldest restaurant in Colorado and it is popular for the food they serve every day. You can order anything from Buffalo and Elk to Quale and Lamb. This place has so much history in it; it was given a historic seal.

This is only “a taste of Colorado’ and what it has to offer to you and your family. Like I said in the beginning, I’m not typing this to persuade you into visiting Colorado. Everything that I said was all experienced personally. In order for it to give someone else that life changing experience, it will have to be experienced on a personal level.

Absolutely love this list of Mardi Gras celebrations outside New Orleans! Each destination seems to offer its own unique blend of culture, music, and vibrant festivities. While I’m tempted to explore them all, I can’t help but dream of experiencing the colorful chaos of Mardi Gras in Goa, India. Exploring India’s rich cultural tapestry during this festive season would undoubtedly be an unforgettable adventure. Thanks for inspiring wanderlust with these fantastic recommendations!
